SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — August 2026 — The Celebration of Hope Committee is pleased to announce the return of the annual Celebration of Hope Healing Mass, to be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Springfield, Massachusetts. Prayers will commence at 5:30 PM and Mass will follow at 6:00 PM.
The 2026 Healing Mass will be celebrated by Father Giuseppe Maria and will bring together individuals, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and members of the community for an evening dedicated to prayer, remembrance, healing, and hope.
The annual Mass honors those whose lives have been touched by cancer and other serious illnesses while offering encouragement and spiritual support to patients, survivors, loved ones, and those who have lost family and friends. It also serves as a reminder of the strength that can be found through faith, compassion, and community.
This year’s event will be chaired by Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, whose leadership and longstanding commitment to serving the Springfield community reflect the spirit and mission of Celebration of Hope.
“We believe that hope is strengthened when a community comes together,” said the Celebration of Hope Committee. “Whether you are currently facing illness, celebrating recovery, remembering a loved one, supporting someone on their journey, or simply standing in solidarity with others, this Mass is an opportunity to gather in faith, offer prayers, and remind one another that no one walks alone.”
Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of faith background. The Celebration of Hope Healing Mass has become a meaningful annual tradition that offers comfort, inspiration, and a renewed sense of hope to all who participate.
