It was a beautiful night.
About 200 neighbors filled Our Lady of Mount Carmel on September 25 to pray for the people they are carrying: those in treatment, those in recovery, the caregivers, and the ones we hold in memory. Fifteen years on from the first Pink Mass, it was everything we hoped for.
Thank you to Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, our Honorary Chairman, who put his name and his city behind this evening. To Fr. Giuseppe Maria Siniscalchi, CFR, who traveled up from New Jersey to celebrate the Mass and carry our intentions to the altar. To Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, to our donors and partners, to the volunteers who set the chairs and poured the coffee and stayed to clean up, and to everyone who simply came and knelt with us. This is a volunteer effort. It happened because you said yes.
